Tarin Hodges is a Senior Advisor within the Organisational Development & Assessment Centre of the UWI, Arthur Lok Jack Global School of Business Consulting Services area. In her role, she engages Managers, CEOs and HR Directors in the Talent Management, Organisational Development and Culture Change discussion in an effort to design and implement, relevant and strategic interventions that have measurable impact.
She has a broad range of expertise and has designed and led projects in executive recruitment, succession planning, job competency profiling, employee engagement, culture change and leadership development – for both private and public sector organisations in the region.
Prior to her role at Lok Jack GSB, Tarin worked in Trinidad and Tobago’s banking sector for over ten years, holding management positions at two international banks, operating in the areas of corporate finance and investment banking. She has been involved in the origination and execution of Caribbean bond transactions and managed the credit risk portfolio for top tier, regional corporations in the energy, manufacturing, service and financial sectors.
Tarin attained her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with distinction from the University of New Brunswick (UNB), Canada, with concentrations in Finance and Marketing, and subsequently graduated from the Warwick Business School in the United Kingdom with a Master of Arts (MA) in Industrial Relations and Managing Human Resources. She then obtained her certification in psychometrics from Cambridge University’s Psychometric Centre. Tarin also holds professional certifications in Business Process Mapping, Change Management, and Organisational Culture Assessments.
In addition to her academic qualifications, Tarin holds certifications in image consultancy from Aston & Hayes, London’s leading image consultancy training centre. She is also trained and certified as a Corporate Etiquette and International Protocol Consultant by the world-renowned Protocol School of Washington. Furthermore, Tarin holds a Train the Trainer certificate from the Arthur Lok Jack Global School of Business.
Tarin is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) in the UK, and of Global Leadership Interlink (GLI), an international network of values-based leaders. She is passionate about individual, organisational, and national development. She recently had the opportunity to share some development perspectives in an article for Business Trinidad & Tobago’s, 10th Anniversary Edition, on the potential of diversifying the economy entitled “Exporting Higher Education Services”.
