Introduction to Logistics Management Workshop

Understand the role of the primary logistics functionary in improving the competitiveness of an enterprise.

Introduction to Logistics Management

The most important aspects of logistics management include importation, internal distribution, scheduling and routing operations, selection of transport partners, choice of logistics equipment and packaging, evaluation logistics performance, and planning the implementation of improvements in the logistics process. This three-day workshop is designed to provide participants with a solid grounding in these areas and an understanding of the operational and strategic management of operations.

Description

The workshop will expose participants to techniques that will optimise logistics and go beyond the standard study of logistics – defined as the science and practical management of the supply of materials. Participants will examine the various steps that may help enterprises integrate international supply chains and performance levels, evaluate opportunities to reduce costs and minimise errors, and achieve international standards of logistics management in supply chain management.
