Overview
The Master of Institutional Innovation and Effectiveness (MIIE) was developed to provide a structured approach to equip leaders and strategists with the relevant skills, knowledge, and best practice towards organisational transformation and sustainable development. The ultimate objectives are: to enhance institutional competitiveness, to provide greater efficiency in transacting business, and to elevate customer satisfaction through exceptional customer service.
The programme is a direct response to the need to deliver quality social services and to gain and retain competitive advantage within public and private sectors most in need of change and improved governance.
This includes:
- Public Service, State Enterprises, Public Utilities, NGOs, CBOs, Trade Unions and regional institutions/initiatives (e.g. CARICOM, CSME) tasked with promoting and developing regional interests.
- Private sector entities in need of maintaining or creating a competitive edge and to incorporate best practice towards greater operating efficiency and enhancing the customer experience, can also derive tremendous benefit from the MIIE.
The MIIE will stimulate innovative thinking in the management of people, processes, and projects and in the development of creative approaches to the strategic management of change within the targeted sectors. This two-year programme will prepare the student to be a catalyst for change in bringing about a more customer centric and focused approach to quality service delivery, through the creative use of technological innovations and solutions. The student will also learn how to harness knowledge and information towards achieving the strategic transformation mandate and agenda.
