Develop an analytical and integrated understanding of innovation, transformation and governance within private and public sector environments

Overview

The Master of Institutional Innovation and Effectiveness (MIIE) was developed to provide a structured approach to equip leaders and strategists with the relevant skills, knowledge and best practice towards organisational transformation and sustainable development. The ultimate objective is to enhance institutional competitiveness, greater efficiency in transacting business and to elevate customer satisfaction through exceptional customer service.

The programme is a direct response to the need to deliver quality social services and to gain and retain competitive advantage within public and private sectors most in need of change and more effective governance.

This includes:

  • Public Service, State Enterprises, Public Utilities, NGO’s, CBO’s, Trade Unions and regional institutions/initiatives (like CARICOM, CSME) tasked with promoting and developing regional interests.
  • Private sector entities in need to maintaining or creating a competitive edge and to incorporate best practice towards greater operating efficiency and enhancing the customer experience, can also derive tremendous benefit from the MIIE.

The MIIE will stimulate innovative thinking in the management of people, processes and projects and in the development of creative approaches to the strategic management of change within the targeted sectors. This two-year programme will prepare the student to be a catalyst for change in bringing about a more customer centric and focused approach to quality service delivery, through the creative use of technological innovations and solutions.
