What does Accreditation mean?

Accreditation is an endorsement of the quality of an institution's programmes and processes. It creates stakeholder confidence that the output of the institution is of sound quality as processes and measures are implemented and working towards producing the best.

Association of MBAs (AMBA)

AMBA Accreditation

The Lok Jack GSB attained programme accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA) in 2003. AMBA is one of three top accrediting agencies for business programmes in the world. This accreditation represents one of the highest standards of achievement in postgraduate business education and assures the public that the programmes offered at the Lok Jack GSB are world class in design and delivery.

Students who graduate from the programmes are exposed to relevant content and experiences which will thoroughly prepare them for the business world. Employers can be confident that they are hiring the most highly qualified leaders and managers who will be able to take their organisations forward.

Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago (ACTT)

ACTT Accreditation

The Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago (ACTT) is an institutional accrediting agency whose endorsement is based on the degree to which an institution has met and exceeded its criteria and standards. The Lok Jack GSB, having gone through the rigorous process of mission-driven institutional accreditation, was awarded the maximum seven years accreditation on March 15, 2012. This was the result of months of dedicated and committed work by the entire Lok Jack GSB family, including all stakeholders.

The Lok Jack GSB is the fourth institution and the first School of Business to receive ACTT accreditation. This is a tremendous achievement for the School and the nation and augurs well for the business community in Trinidad and Tobago. ACTT External Evaluators confirmed that employers felt the Lok Jack GSB is producing the types of graduates that are needed in businesses.

What does this endorsement mean?

The endorsement of institutional quality by ACTT means that stakeholders can be confident that the institution is employing the best quality resources in the most efficient way to assure the quality of our output.
